Farsley Celtic UPDATE
Posted by John Beech on July 3, 2009
Farsley Celtic now face a second battle (see [1] and [2]). As well as their debt issues with HMRC and Coors Brewery – the latter forcing them into Administration – they have now been told by the Conference that there is no place for them next season (3).
The Administrator may appeal to the FA, citing as a precedent the fact that the FA over-ruled the Conference in expelling Northwich Victoria. Whether he chooses to do so will depend on whether he thinks Celtic has a future, which must be a close call.

The club’s official spokesman Philip Morris has said that an appeal will be made to the FA (1). A fund to pay for the appeal has been launched by the Supporters’ Club.
It will be interesting to hear the view of the Administrator. Is it the case that he wasn’t willing and/or able to launch an appeal?
